Pericles was a famous politician of ancient Greece.


 He belonged to the Democratic Party, which is so famous in Greek history. Most historians call him the first citizen of Athens. In addition to strengthening Athens militarily against Sparta,
 he tried to make the city a center of learning and the most beautiful city in the world. He built many buildings. At that time, the world's greatest scholars were present in his court. During his visit, the city's education system was very stable. Athens children read and wrote at an early age. In schools, they were taught warfare and daring.

Children had complete freedom to choose their career.


 Pericles believed that when children decide their future without fear of danger, a brave soldier is born who teaches them to face every adversity. Athens' economy was strong during this period, and many vegetables and fruits were exported to neighboring countries. Where they were hand in hand, there were many schools in Athens at that time where people came from far and wide to study. That is why Pericles says that Athens is a school not only for Greece but for the whole world. During his reign he did a great service to the fine arts. He had great respect for the people associated with these two fields and gave them a place in his court. Historians write that Pericles's struggle led to the city of Athens regaining its lost place in Greece
